Cadette/Senior Skills Camporee

Where: Huddart County Park, Woodside (Sequoia Group Area)
Who: All Senior, Cadette, and sixth-grade Junior Girl Scout trooops in the Girl Scouts of Northern California are invited. Registration is first-come, first-served. We are limited to 24 teams and no more than 200 girls, so early sign-up is important. You may come and camp with us for the weekend, or just come for the activities on Saturday.
Note: We do not have room for spectators.
Overview: Competition occurs all day Saturday. Troops must check in either by 8PM Friday night or by 8AM Saturday morning. Park gates are locked between these hours. The awards ceremony is held on Sunday morning, after the Girl Scouts' Own. Troops are encouraged to wear or bring troop identifiers. Remember you must dress for competition and safety.
Fees: $12.00 per girl, which includes a Skills Camporee participation star. Girls and adults may purchase a Skills Camporee patch their first year for an additional $2.00.
Note: There is a $5.00 Park entrance fee per car collected at the gate.
Training: Scheduled for Saturday March 1, 2008, 9a.m-noon. All new troops are strongly encouraged to send a group of at least three girls and/or adults to learn the special skills required. Event manuals will be distributed at the training. After the training, manuals will be mailed to registered troops who did not attend.
Training site is to be determined. Directions will appear on our News page . To register, contact Patti Lasher by February 23.
Note: if there are insufficient sign-ups, training could be cancelled.
Registration: Please fill out the registration form and mail it with the following:
  1. Your registration fee. Please, only one check for your troop/group.
  2. Troop Roster which must include name, address and emergency numbers for all girls and adults attending,
  3. A copy of a current Health Form for each girl and adult attending.
    Note: Form 496x Adult Health Records can downloaded from the Council Website.

Registration must be received by Friday, April 5, 2008.
An email acknowledgment of registration will be sent within one week of receipt.
You will receive a packet with a map and all necessary information approximately 10 days prior to event.
A troop's registration fee will be refunded only if cancellation is received by April 12, 2007.
