A Girl Scout Holiday Service Project |
This project was started in 1985 by a social worker, Edra Robertson, in South San Francisco. She and her Girl Scout troop collected toys to give through Social Services to children physically and/or emotionally abused, during the holiday season. |
Individuals of all ages may participate in this project to benefit children who are in the social services system, usually because of abuse. A wide range of gifts are needed but due to the sensitive circumstances, violent-theme toys are inappropriate. |
Have you been involved in this project before? If not, check here to see how you can help us out. There are many ways that girls can participate. |
